Quincy Jones Jr, an American record producer, musician, songwriter, composer, arranger, and film and television producer has had an illustrious 70-year-old career in the entertainment industry. For a man who boasts a record 80 Grammy nominations and 38 Grammy, his status as a legend is not up to debate.

For one who is in the evening of his years, his musical impact is still felt. He has a band; the Quincy Jones band that is based in Dubai. The latest we hear is that in a bid to foster continuity, the band has offered African artistes across the continent to work with them.

The Dubai-based band that plays in Quincy Jones bar is open to working with African artists from different walks of life in an effort to help them blend African music with a new touch.
