JAMBOAFRICA.ONLINE – Dubai Tourism Kicks Off Multiple City Roadshow in South Africa

Dubai Tourism joined by partners across hospitality, medical, entertainment, and retail sectors, to interact with key trade partners in South Africa.

Dubai’s Department for Economy and Tourism (DET), in continuation of its ongoing activities in Africa has released dates for its South Africa roadshow. Dubai Tourism is showing its renewed commitment to Africa by its sustained pivot towards all of its relationships across the African continent. The next stop on the tour will be South Africa, where it will embark on a multi city roadshow in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.

A multi-pronged strategy to keep Dubai safe, open and accessible has seen Dubai ranked as the No.1 global destination in Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards 2022. The new tourism figures from DET show that overall, Dubai hotels maintained an average occupancy level of 76 per cent from January to May 2022. According to data from hotel management analytics firm STR, Dubai ranked No.1 globally in hotel occupancy, ahead of other international destinations including New York (61%), London (60%) and Paris (57%), for the January-April 2022 period.
